Dave is an an Army brat and retired from the Air Force in 2006 and is now working as an AF civilian. Debbie works in real estate for a local firm. We both enjoy the outdoors and being 'tree-huggers' as we have been called. As tree-huggers, we enjoy feeding 'our' herd of backyard deer and their friends the squirrels, birds, foxes, possums, and raccoons. Between us we have seven kids and eleven grand-kids spread out from Virginia to Texas, to Idaho to Washington.

Watch for Falling Ice

I noticed on the way to work this morning what always happens out on the roads after a snow storm.  The snow comes down, the snow piles high on 18-wheeler trailers, the snow ices over and becomes very heavy, and then starts to thaw and flies off the trucks in large chunks.  Guess who gets hit with the ice?  You and I and everyone else around us.  No, I didn't get hit but saw quite a few brake-lights this morning as the ice was flying.  Take care out there and don't forget to look up when passing that truck.
